Corey Knight, the brains behind one of my favorite sites, Art N Hustle, has been working on his upcoming online store, Building Stonehenge. I have known Corey for a couple of months now, and I have to say he is one person I admire and look up to. He has the drive to do anything he sets his mind to, one of them being Building Stonehenge. The online retailer will provide items such as clothing, accessories and art.
I can just imagine how Corey is feeling at this moment, knowing one of his dreams is soon to come true. That to me that is more than inspiring and it gives me hope that one day my dreams will become alive as well. I have no doubt that the Building Stonehenge will succeed. Corey and his team having been doing this for a couple of years now and I am sure that they know what they are doing. They are aiming at October 3rd for their debut date; below are some words explaining the story behind the project and what he and his team are trying to achieve:
“Stonehenge, one of the wonders of the world is awed upon by billions the world over. Its intricacies and beauty make it hard to believe that its beginning is actually unknown. It wasn’t “built”, but can you imagine what it would have taken if it was? Our inspiration was that very thought. How could Stonehenge have been built? No doubt, with a lot of time and a great wealth of knowledge, knowledge past down from men and women of old. Men like my grandfather, who never left the house without looking his best and adding his own touch of flair and personality to everything he wore. Women like my grandmother, who not only considered her own attire but that of her husband. She wanted him to be able to represent her as well.
That knowledge of a well made suit and handmade tie was passed down through my father and we plan to pass it to our children. We plan to pass that down to all that care to listen. Those that desire to know how a suit should fit and what selvage denim is. How a great pair of shoes make your feet feel like they are standing on clouds and yet are as beautiful as the sky itself. How a simple pocket square and colorful socks can express who you are without a spoken word.
We’re inspired by men who strive to look their best, not because they have to but because they want to, because they would be unhappy if they didn’t. We want to bring you quality, hard to find pieces of art that you can adorn your bodies with. We are in a sense building our own Stonehenge- building something that we can only hope will be an inspiration to work hard and dress well.
This fall we will debut BldgStonehenge as an extension of Art-n-Hustle. A online retail space to provide quality garments and many other products to you all. Your support over the last 2 years is the only reason this is possible and I thank you all for that. This fall we look forward to Building Stonehenge with you.
