Art Warehouse in Boeotia by A31 Architecture

July 31, 2010

A31 Architecture have designed a workshop for an artist in Boeotia, Greece. One word, beautiful. Simplicity is always the way to go in my books when it comes to Architecture and interior designing. I’ve never seen a warehouse this dope. I wouldn’t mind living in it. It just needs a bathroom and kitchen and it’s all set and done. Whoever the artist that works here is lucky.

House at the Pyrenees by Cadaval & Solà-Morales

July 26, 2010

Spanish architects Cadaval & Solà-Morales have completed the House at the Pyrenees in Canejan, Catalonia, Spain.

This beautiful, spacious modern house was a project to recuperate this old vernacular house. It’s located on top of a mountain and it views two different valleys. All these spacious smallish homes are amazing, I want my home to be as homey as this one is.

By preserving the original structure and doing a minimal yet contrasted intervention, the idea is to generate new and contemporary spaces for living, respecting the historic envelope. On the basement of the house, and responding to a structural weakness of a section of the existing wall, a big opening is shaped within the dry stone wall.  Such opening permits amazing views and interior natural lighting to a second living and dining room; the rest of spaces accommodated within the old enclosure have a remnant sense of the old construction, although they are distributed according to new ways of living, in a more contemporary reading of architecture. - Cadaval & Sola-Morales

Casa Cher by BAK Architects

June 17, 2010

BAK Architects designed another concrete house in the forest of Mar Azul in Argentina. Lately I’ve become a fan of small/regular sized houses. These small modern house that people are building are beautiful. I have a bunch of plans of small houses. Since I am not a fan of living in a big house, I’ve always drafted small homes.

The Ironbank Building by RTA Studio
RTA Studio designed the Ironbank building in Auckland, New Zealand. I’ve always wanted to designed a house or building similar to this one. It sucks that it’s been done already. At the end of the day it doesn’t matter, it’s a beautiful structure.
